Offa Youths Forum Denies Political Endorsements, Reaffirms Commitment to Neutrality

Offa, Kwara State – September 2024

The leadership of the Offa Youths Forum (OYF) has issued a formal statement distancing itself from any political endorsements or affiliations. In a recent announcement, Isyaka Shittu Dayo, the National President of OYF, clarified that the forum has neither authorized nor supported the use of its name in any political activities.

Dayo emphasized that the OYF, a community-driven organization, is committed to fostering development within Offa and maintaining its politically neutral stance. He further reiterated that the group’s focus remains on uniting the youth for positive impact, without engaging in partisan politics.

"We fully support the rights of every member to participate in the political process as individuals," Dayo noted. "However, the Offa Youths Forum's name cannot be used for political purposes under any circumstances."

While OYF encourages its members to exercise their civic rights, the forum stressed that personal political actions must be carried out within the bounds of legality and respect for others' rights.

This clarification aims to preserve the integrity and unity of the forum as it continues to champion the welfare and development of Offa youths. Members and the general public are advised to respect this stance moving forward.
