Declare Idodo Emmanuel Wanted, Hold Him Responsible For Any Break Down Of Law And Order In Auchi Polytechnic.
The advent of social media helped youths in other countries to be updated with facts, figures, exposure, trend, technological advancements, etc in the 21st century, but unfortunately reverse is the case here in Nigeria where some jobless youths sees and uses social media for fraud, spread false news, propaganda, smear people's image and dent records, etc.
In a sane community, a jobless youth like Idodo Emmanuel Abdulrasak who claimed to be the founder of an NGO (Ikpeminoghena Foundation For Peace) should be cooling off in the police cell, awaiting trial for misleading the general public and trying to instigate the public against the management of Auchi Polytechnic.
The blackmail Shenanigan of Idodo Emmanuel Abdulrasak is so funny and baseless such that even the students of the institution can tell that he is nothing but a compound liar.
To put the record straight, the management of Auchi Polytechnic led by the Rector, Dr. S S. Umar didn't increase the tuition fee, the coward only failed to understand that a new program called National Skill Acquisition ( NSQ) has been introduced into the curriculum by NBTE and this is not peculiar to Auchi Polytechnic alone, just that Six (6) institutions representing the six (6) geo-political zones of the federation were chosen to run as pilot project.
The issue brought about different questions from the SUG officials and some indigenous students leaders, this drew the attention of NAPS and the management took ample time to explain in details.
It may interest you to know that the program NSQ was introduced and students were charged Thirty Thousand Naira (#30,000) but the SUG executives of Auchi Polytechnic met with the management and pleaded for possible reduction, the management then reduced the charge to the tone of Twenty Five Thousand Naira (#25,000).
The management further explained what the program entails, NSQ is targeted at ensuring no student graduates without a skill, at least.
This will further reduce the rate of unemployment in Nigeria as Polytechnic graduates are suppose to be employers of labor and not the other way round.
Students will not just go through the physical training but will also be certified to practice in any part of the world, the said certificate is not issued by any school management but by NABTEB which is known internationally.
The charged fee is meant to carter for both training and certificate as the Federal Government wouldn't take responsibility for such, there are schools that pays to the tone of #30,000.
Putting into cognisance the hardship in the country presently, the SUG alongside NAPS lobbied for staggered payment to help ease the burden of hardship on Nigerians which the management obliged to.
Going further to the breakdown of the tuition fee in Auchi Polytechnic, the continuing Students are to pay the sum of 95,500 including the NSQ charges while new students (freshers) are to pay the sum of 115,500 including NSQ charges respectively, but the mischief maker who has no single idea nor fact and figures of the service charges by the Institution, fabricated figures just to mislead the general public and the students of the Institution.
Unfortunately, some youths that should be the vanguards of positive change and icon of peace are the ones being used as tools to truncate the peace being enjoyed by the institution, we therefore advise students to desist from such act capable of sending them out of school and rather ask questions for clarity purpose.
We seize this medium to call on Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to as a matter of urgency invite the propagandist and his cohorts for questioning and further actions, Edo state particularly Auchi is highly volatile, the state is preparing for election so statements capable of misleading the public just to ignite unnecessary crisis should be vehemently resisted, anyone found in such act should be made to face the full wrath of the law.
The leadership of NAPS also wishes to advise Nigeria students, particularly in Auchi Polytechnic to shun any form of violence, rather tow the path of honor by engaging the school management in dialogue, we have achieved alot through dialogue and so we can achieve even more.
