DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO EXCLUDE DR ABUBAKAR BUKOLA SARAKI ON HONORARY AWARDEE LIST BY APC LED FG ; A MOVE TO POLITICIZE AND REDUCE THE NATIONAL MERIT AWARD REPUTE

The attention of the People Democratic Party National Youth movement has been drawn to the speculation making round the print media as regard upcoming National Merit Award ceremony schedule to hold in few days time, it sound highly rediculous and very unprecedented that the National Merit award is about to be politicized for the first time in the history of Nigeria, aside the fact that APC led federal government have bastardize every strata of Nigeria sector and system , with her nepotism, tribal sentiment and religion insensitivity, it’s least expected such failure touch will be extended to National Merit award scheme.
Nigerians are conversant with traditional and conventional criteria of selecting honorees for the conferment of some certain category of the national honor such as GRAND COMMANDER FEDERAL REPUBLIC GCFR and GRAND COMMANDER ORDER OF NIGER GCON which are often conferred statutorily on President, Vice President and Senate President of federal republic of Nigeria respectively.
The obvious fact of APC lack of integrity and low premium placed on competency and merit in running the affairs of the nation since their accidental emergence and entrance into Aso Rock on May 29, 2015. Which proved with the manifestation of this and several other failures of APC led Federal Government made the regime not to have successfully organise a ceremonial conferment of national merit award if not individual ones since 2015 until now when they are desperate to use the ceremony to lobby some high profile Nigerians to support their continue misrule beyond 2023 which is obviously dead on arrival .
It remains a verifiable fact which Can not be erase, the giant stride and laudable achievements of Distinguish Sen. Dr. Abubakar Bukola SARAKI CON who digitalise National Assembly, passed highest number of Bills including economy, social and political improving ones, established in practice and practical the independence of National Assembly by rejecting all unpatriotic requests of Executive arm including senseless borrowing .
It’s assumed, his firm stand with Nigerian people and Nigeria nation which didn’t went well with some people in APC regime that instigated his persecution using instruments of the state including several court cases which he won all at the end seems still very fresh in the memory of the APC led Federal Government hence this shenanigan of deliberate attempt to exclude the most popular adjudged best performed senate president Nigeria ever produced from the statutory honor of GCON recipients.
It’s not comprehending how immediate Past Senate President who served with diligence, Excellence and exceptionality will be missing out on a statutory category of the awardee list for the upcoming National Merit award ceremony when the incumbent Senate president Sen Dr Ahmed Lawan will be receiving same honor.
It’s either the APC led federal Government want to bastardize the national merit award the way they did to other strata of Nigeria system or it’s deliberate to reduce the honor and repute of the National Merit award.
President Muhammadu Buhari must save the Integrity of National Merit Award , place national interest above APC dirty politics by allowing the statutory awardees including immediate past Senate President Dr Abubabakar Bukola SARAKI earn the honor he worked for and merited .
