The National Association of Nigerian Students ( NANS ) Lead by Comr. Sunday Asefon and the Senate lead by Sen. Chuks is currently reviewing the Association old Constitution.

According to the review currently holding in Abuja, NANS would abolish it's old structure of having 4 zones to 6. The summary of major review as obtained are "

At exactly 1year of office of any  NANS president with no election done, the zonal coordinator of that very zone where the next president is to come from automatically become CPC chairman who have just 45days to conduct convention

2. Joint campus committee Jcc is converted to Joint Campus Council with election as sole mode of leadership formation by senators in the state

3. Zones of NANS

Now 6 instead of 4 in the old order

4. Rotation of presidency and senate presidency

Presidency and secretary only go to a zone likewise senate president and senate clerk only goes to a zone while other offices are open for the remaining 4 zones

5. Annual due

All institutions are to introduce NANS reciept for 150 naira only

N100 to NANS

N50 each to 3 sister Union of various institutions category

NAPS  for Polytechnic

NANCES for COE

NAUS for University

6. All zone are now under geopolitical zones of the country arrangement

7. CPC is now constitutional capture in the constitution

8. Eligibility, aspirant must have finish 1st session which means he or she must have CGPA before he or she can be eligible . Only those with proven academic record can run for elective post in NANS.

While the review is ongoing,  Some Members of the Association differed on the introduction of dues and new zones. While some stakeholders are of the opinion that the New zone structure is a ploy to destabilize the candidature of some Presidential Aspirants from Zone A they strongly felt the Association is better off with the 4 traditional zone ( A , B , C And D )
