Ladies and gentlemen.
I welcome you all to this important press briefing today being 10th November, 2021.
We have call for this press briefing to give update of National Association Of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) 2021 National Unity Convention Planning Committee under my humble self as Chairman.
We are Please to firstly affirm 26th - 28th November, 2021 for the NAPS National Unity Convention at Federal capitayl Territory Abuja.
This year convention holding in Abuja for the very first time in the history of over two decade of existence of NAPS is not only significant, it also first ever organized National Convention of The Polytechnic Apex Students body deviod of any political big or small wig sponsorship, the convention has been driven by goodwill and determination of critical stakeholders of the organization including the National Patron and past leaders.
We have settled for FCT Abuja for the convention to enable easy access of all participating institutions which includes Polytechnic, monotechnics, colleges of technology and other allied Institutions awarding ND and HND in Nigeria .
Abuja is consider most secure place in Nigeria in most recent hence our resolve for FCT as venue, the accreditation will hold at Education Resource Center Wuse Zone 7 while voting holds at Old Parade Ground, Garki Area 10.
6 aspirants have been screened for president and about 4 for Senate President among other aspirants screened for other positions .
The participating institutions by compilation of CPC is about 138 including Polytechnic, monotechnics, Colleges of Health and colleges of technology from the 36 states of the federation .
There shall be presidential debate on Saturday before the voting commence, accreditation shall be digital, as we uses institutions electronic submitted Accreditation Form to accredit delegates.

Only those whose institution's Dean student's affairs submit their accreditation form shall be allow to participate.
Any institutions yet to get accreditation form by now can contact the zonal or state liason officer of CPC for it and ensure it filled, signed and stamped by Office of Dean Student Affairs and submit via email with hard copy handy on accreditation day.
We hereby call for support of Council of Heads of Polytechnic and Colleges of technology (CO-Heads), Committee of Federal Rectors (COFER) , Executive secretary of National Board For Technical Education (NBTE) for this convention, we implore institutions to make available vehicle with school drivers to convey delegates to Abuja for the convention, we hope we shall enjoy the security agencies support and cooperation as usual in FCT.
