As Preparations are in top gear , Bello Shehu Tijani have declared his ambition to vie for the post of Chairman of the apex Youth body in Nigeria Katsina State Chapter popularly and officially known as National Youth Council of Nigeria.
Shehu a Computer Scientist by training , and a community builder hails from Funtua in Katsina State, his declaration was received by our New media correspondent the Declaration read in parts

DECLARATION OF INTEREST
With all sense of commitment and humility, I hereby declare my interest to contest for the post of STATE CHAIRMAN of our dear reputable National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN) Katsina State.
It was a decision reached after wide consultation within the youth constituency across the State, and by the confidence they have shown in my capacity, sagacity, and tenacity, I strongly believe that we can improve the image of the Council of our dear state together.
Mine is not an interest of pointing out who or how things were wrongly done, but one of hope and focus on righting them.
The youth forms about half the population of this country and Katsina State happens to be the 5th most populous state in Nigeria therefore we are quite aware of the numerical and intellectual strength our dear state has when it comes to youth power. While our political strength is continually exploited, one of our plans is to explore our economic strength as well, when I are given the opportunity to serve.
In the coming days, I will continue to engage with the people across different media and it is my hope and believe that I learn as much from you about discharging good governance, as you all will learn from me.
I am availing myself to answer the call of the voices that clamour for the rebirth and reformation of NYCN in Katsina, and I am confident that I do not bark on this journey alone as I will count on all your support in your dynamic areas of strength; be it moral, material or otherwise. I would particularly respectfully for the solidarity of solicit for the mandate/backing of all LGAs chairmen, Heads of VYOs, Stakeholders, Past and Present leaders of NYCN, Katsina State.
I am using this opportunity to appreciate all Stakeholders and most importantly the leadership of the council for sheathing their swords by agreeing on a unity congress. This singular gesture writes their names favorably in the anals of youth development and the reformation of the National Youth Council in Katsina State.
