FUDMA CRISIS : Kano Court Reinstates Prof. Armayau Hamisu Bichi as Vice Chancellor

The National Industrial Court of Nigeria sitting in Kano, on 23rd July, 2020 has dismissed the case filled by Prof. Haruna Abdu Kaita, Challenging his suspension as Vice Chancellor Federal University Dustin-Ma.

The court ruled that, the petition lack merit. In view of that, Prof. Armaya'u Hamisu Bichi remains the incumbent substantive Vice Chancellor Federal University Dutsinma, Katsina State. 

This is coming days after the National Industrial court holden at Abuja dismissed another case of Prof. Haruna Abdu Kaita which is challenging the Appointment of Prof. Armayau Hamisu Bichi as the Substantive Vice Chancellor of Federal University Dutsin-ma.

Kaita was appointed in March 2016 as the Substantive Vice Chancellor after the tenure of the Pioneer Vice Chancellor ( Prof. James Ayatse ) , Kaita was suspended in 2017 by the Governing Council due to insubordination & Corruption charges. 

After his suspension FUDMA had 3 Acting Vice Chancellors Viz : Prof. Armayau Hamisu Bichi , Prof. Adamu Nchama Baba - Kutigi & Dr. Babangida Umar Dangani before the Appointment of Prof Armayau Bichi by President Muhammadu Buhari as Substantive Vice Chancellor of the University.
