Yesterday, it was a trajedic event at Oko-erin area of our dear state capital Ilorin Kwara State, where a linking bridge collapsed and moving vehicle fell off road into the flowing water body.
This ugly incident claimed one live with some degree of injuries sustained by other occupants of the car.
The primary cause of this unfortunate scenario is not far from Poor Environment Conservation Practice in our dear state which is not only peculiar to Ilorin metropolis, but our dear community Offa is also cut in this Web of improper disposal of waste.
Litring the street with trash, disposal of refuse into flowing water body, dumping of refuse along the main road among other unethical waste management practice pose great danger to our environment and our lives most especially in raining season like this.
Aside the fact that It block our drainage system, it also
Cause flood, Collapse Bridge, Bread mosquitoes which spreads malaria disease and it exert pressure on our health facilities.
Just as these effect above are life threatening, it also cost money to remedy.
While we role out aggressive campaign against poor Environmental Conservation in our dear community Offa and its environs, we implore our people to join the struggle to Enthrone sanity and hygienic Environment.
Heath is wealth, Cleanliness Is Next to Godliness, Proper Waste Management Controls Disease Outbreak and very key to Healthy Living.
