HIS EXCELLENCY SHOULD SEND AWAY THE FOX BEFORE COMING BACK TO HANDLE THE CHICKEN.

Let me give a quick background of my relationship with Musbau Eshinrogunjo Toba.

Eshinrogunjo served as my vice president 2 of NAKSS NHQ in 2004/2005 while I was vice president 1. We became friends almost immediately, literally living in each other's houses. We became so close that our mothers saw both of us as their children. Even when I moved to Kaduna, we still stayed close so much so that he visited me in Kaduna.

However, we fell apart in 2010 and we have never seen or spoken to each other since then. Please don't ask me why. That is not the reason for this write-up.

I give this background because I want it to be clear that I know Toba Musbau Eshinrogunjo very well. So whatever I say about him is from an understanding based on a close association with him.

Also, I want to make it clear that I have no reason to defend him as we are not close anymore.

Now to the real issue! I listened with utmost shock and sadness to the purported audio credited to Musbau, where he was alleged to have said a lot of bad stuff.

I will not bother to talk about the authenticity of the recording as we know that anything can be doctored this days.

Even if the recording is real, we all know that Musbau cannot have truly meant to kill the governor. Musbau can talk but he can't hurt a fly.

I remember sometime in 2006, Musbau was attacked in Oro college of education, my guy had to call me in far away Osun state for me to organize his rescue. Infact I had to come down to Kwara the next day to harass the person that organized the attack. Musbau cannot hurt anyone, he does not have any history of ever hurting anyone.

Concerning all the allegations that he purportedly leveled against the governor and all the name calling, we should not be hypocrites. If all our friends can hear everything we have ever said behind their backs, we will have no friends left. Either we like it or not, Musbau is hurting and rightly so. God really used him to help in bringing in this government. You must be Musbau's no 1 enemy to say he does not have any reason to be disgruntled. One thing I am sure of is that his heart and soul is still with APC.

Now, what is the intention of the person that recorded the audio, why did he/she record it? Certainly not because he/she wants the best for the governor, the government, and Kwara State at large, because if the person meant well, he would have cautioned Musbau there and then and looked for a way to resolve the issues raised, not heating up the polity by sharing such a terrible piece.

His Excellency must know that whoever shared that recording is not his friend. Anyone that encourages the governor to deal with Musbau does not mean well for the governor and the state.

He is a father, he should not allow any element to destroy his house. He should remember that no matter what, it is better to have more than less. His Excellency must chase away the fox that wants to destroy his camp before he comes back to correct his chickens at home.

As for Musbau, if that audio is real, I hope he has learnt his lesson to reduce the way he talks and stop allowing emotions to take him over. The governor must realize that victory is not total yet, he will need all his arsenal to achieve success in 2023. This is the time to build, not the time to tear down so that he can consolidate by 2023.

And to all the comrades, this is the time to drop all grievances and political differences and protect fellow comrades.

And to all that see this as an opportunity to take a pound of flesh, remember that when a sheep assists a lion to devour a fellow sheep, it's just a matter of time, the lion will soon come for the other sheep.
