The leadership of OODUA YOUTH PARLIAMENT under the leadership of Rt.Hon. Abdulmajeed Oyeniyi the speaker of the parliament, haven carefully read over the press statement issued yesterday 14th January, 2020 by the Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami that the Federal Government has declared the security outfit of the states in western Nigeria as illegal, the statement which was signed by special adviser to the AGF on media and public relation, Dr. Umar Gwandu. The Speaker of the OODUA YOUTH PARLIAMENT in his words while addressing the news men yesterday evening in Abuja said, it so disheartening that this is coming from a legal professional that knows the implications of epilepsy security structure, Abdulmajeed said this is a bold step from the south west governors to see to the security of lives and properties.
He said instead of the Federal Government to see how to compliment the effort of the governors by regulating the body and raise some financial assistance for the scheme to survive test of time, but the Federal Government is busy ranting on the Media through the Attorney General and declaring the scheme as illegal.
We the southwest youth have begin to notice sense of sentiment and biased mind from the Federal Government whose is supposed to be neutral in issues of national interest especially talking about security of lives and properties.
The Speaker said the entire Yoruba youth race will only accept AMOTEKUN as illegal if federal government also declare Civilian JTF, HIsbah,K
The Speaker also Call on the International Community to come to the aid of Yoruba Community and also call on Yoruba Youth to remain calm, steadfast and resolute as we fight this injustice until victory is achieved.
