The Election brings to 3 Acting Vice Chancellors elected within Two and Half Years, after the Substantive Vice Chancellor Prof. Haruna Abdu Kaita was Suspended by the University Governing Council.
The first acting Vice Chancellor was

Prof. Adamu Nchama Baba-Kutigi (Department of Physics)
